The "Breaking Through Glass" EP is due to be completed in 2008. Leading off the musical front will be the single "A Long Time Coming." BurkMenn's sound is filled with variety yet streamlined via his individual artistic personality. Modern rock, indie rock, new wave and more, more, more flow through his sound. From the flavors of programming to the organic instrumentation, both combining to unleash BurkMenn's flavorful bag of influences, this artist's music shines with inventive ways of presenting styles we know and love. BurkMenn refuses to be fenced in by musical boundaries. "I think I am unique because I am not going to put myself in a box and I don't think that anyone should," he asserted. "A Long Time Coming" - a song about soured love - boasts the grit and gloss combo of this talented songwriter/performer. Raw rock energy merges with tight song composition and a focused performance, riffs of guitar and the glitter of electronic element. It's a pop rock feast, full-bodied and rife with energy. "Then things musical just started to fall into place," he says. "I recorded one song and then from there, one song turned into four or five songs. It's hard work but I love the freedom of being able to put all my thoughts down onto paper." As he works on his new EP, BurkMenn is beginning to make plans for live shows, with a view to touring in the near future.
